Capacitor banks are ideally suited for centralized power factor correction in applications where plant loading is constantly changing. Utilized by utility, industrial and commercial customers for power factor correction, harmonic filtering, voltage support or VAR support, Shallbetter Capacitor Banks are available in both single- and multi-step banks that are designed, engineered and manufactured to meet customers’ specifications.

Quality
Shallbetter’s Capacitor Banks are manufactured with welded construction and also feature:
- 4000-hour paint (ANSI tested/certified)
- ANSI tested/certified (as complete unit) at an independent laboratory
- A-60 Galvanneal steel
- Copper bus (silver- or tin-plated)
- Internally or externally fused capacitors
- Optional third-party listing (CSA, etc.)
- Stainless steel exterior hardware
- Welded construction
